Abstract

This study critically examines the intersection of academic research and local contexts, highlighting the imperative of incorporating locales into research topics. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature and a critical analysis of the complexities of local contexts, this study demonstrates the importance of contextual relevance and local applicability in academic research. The findings of this study reveal that incorporating locales into research topics enables researchers to develop a more nuanced understanding of the complex inter-relationships between academic and the broader social and economic context, and to produce findings that are more relevant and applicable to local communities. This study contributes to knowledge by advancing the understanding of the importance of context in academic research and developing a framework for incorporating locales into research topics. The study's findings have significant implications for academic research, policy, and practice, highlighting the need for researchers to prioritize contextual relevance and local applicability in their work.
