The global housing crisis continues to worsen, and affordable housing remains a critical challenge for policymakers, urban planners, and communities. Systems thinking, which emphasizes connections, feedback loops, and holistic perspectives, provides a robust framework for solving this problem. This article explores the application of systems thinking to affordable housing and highlights its potential to advance sustainable and inclusive solutions. Based on case studies from Singapore, Germany, and Ghana, the paper highlights the need for systemic interventions that balance economic, social, and environmental priorities.
