Consumer privacy has emerged as a major concern in the rapidly evolving digital marketing landscape. This review paper examines the multifaceted issue of consumer privacy in the context of digital marketing, focusing on collection practices, consumer knowledge, and the ethical implications of data use so especially as businesses increasingly rely on sophisticated technology to collect and analyze customer data, questions of transparency, consent and the potential for abuse have become increasingly important the Paper says integrates current research and information gathering practices highlights the growing challenges and challenges to consumer privacy. It also explores different levels of consumer knowledge about data processing, and reveals important gaps in understanding that contribute to consumers’ sense of vulnerability in addition to ethical considerations relating to the processing of personal data in consumer privacy in the context of targeted advertising to provide a detailed context of the current situation and to identify areas where further research and ethical guidance are needed to ensure consumer rights are protected.
