The result showed that there is male dominance in rice production in the state with dominance rate of 54.2% and average age of 54.4 years. 67.5% of the farmers had completed at least secondary school education and with a mean household size of 6 persons. The average farm size of the beneficiaries was 3.5 ha. Majority of the beneficiaries (90.8%) indicated Information/awareness as the major factor that influence their participation in programme.
