Abstract

This study aimed to investigate, the chemical composition of acetone leaf extracts of Chromolaen aodorata (L.) was analysed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). A total of 53 chemical compounds were recognized, accounting for 37.36% of the composition of the acetone extracts. The three major components are Germacrene D (5.73%), 5,6,7-trimethoxy-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-4H-1-Benzopyran-4-one (3.33%) and Phytol (2.90%).
