Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of fl?xible work life on employ?es’ product?vity in some selected hospitals in Delta State. Three research questions were raised and three hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. The survey research design was adopted while 297 employ?es of selected Hospitals in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State comprised the samples used for the study. The questionnaire was used as method of data collection. The questionnaire was validated by the research supervisor. A Cronbach Alpha Reliability Coefficient was used to ensure internal consistency of the instrument, which yielded a high reliability coefficient. The data collected was analysed using Pearson coefficient of determination for the research questions and Pearson Product moment correlation coefficient for the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The result obtained revealed that there is a significant r?lationship between fl?xible schedule and employ?es’ product?vity; that there is a significant r?lationship between fl?xible location and employ?es’ product?vity; and that there is a significant r?lationship between fl?xible length of work and employ?es’ product?vity. Based on the result, it was recommended that employ?es should be allowed to have fl?xible work arrangement by the management of the hospital.
