Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about unprecedented changes in the way people transact and make payments. Fintech digital payment solutions have played a critical role in facilitating contactless payments, enabling remote transactions, and providing access to financial services during this crisis. This paper provides an overview of the impact of COVID-19 on the fintech industry and digital payments, highlighting the challenges and opportunities presented by the pandemic. It also examines the role of fintech digital payment solutions in facilitating financial inclusion and promoting economic recovery. The paper concludes that the pandemic has accelerated the adoption of fintech digital payment solutions and has highlighted their importance in the digital economy. As such, there is a need for policymakers to promote the development of an enabling regulatory environment to support the growth of fintech and digital payments.
