Abstract

The aim of this research work therefore is to examine and evaluate the common sources of water in that locality, Gwallameji, Bauchi, Bauchi state Nigeria in order to examine their qualities with a view to determine their portability. A total of ten (10) water samples collected from five (5) different vicinity in that study area were subjected to physicochemical and bacteriological analysis. From the findings, it shows a great bacteria contamination of the water from wells and tap-water, it is recommended that the water from these sources tap and well in the study area (Gwallameji) to be properly treated before human consumption and other domestic purpose.
