Lactic acid is a natural organic acid. As such, its long history of application in the food, pharmaceutical, textile and chemical industries cannot be overemphasized. This study is focused on the production of lactic acid from food wastes (potato peels) with a view to evaluating the feasibility and potentials of using food wastes as renewable resources for industrial application.
