The phenomenal dominance and penetration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the 21st century and the continued impact of ICT on human activities suggest it is imperative for humans and human institutions to adopt and adapt to ICT culture and processes. Most successful institutions and individuals have deployed ICT strategies for the delivery of goods and services. World religions, Christianity in particular, have also deployed for both administrative and evangelistic purposes. It is the aim of this paper, through critical analysis, to carry out a comparative study of ICT penetration among the phenomenon conceptualized as New Generation Churches and the Catholic Church. This study becomes important against the background of the need to position the Catholic Church, in particular, for continued relevance in the deployment of 21st-century communication technologies in the pursuit of its organizational vision of deepening catholic education. In the final analysis, the paper attempts to make recommendations on further roadmap for strengthening the digitalization of the Catholic Church for effective evangelism in the 21st century.
