This paper presents the preliminary design methodology for a Reverse flow annular combustor based on calculation of the geometric parameters, gas temperature profile, liner wall temperatures and position of air admission holes for a small gas turbine engine with Jet A as fuel. It also includes the modelling and numerical simulation of temperature distribution at centerline, inlet and outlet of the combustor using Ansys-CFX, carried out at basic design point operating conditions.
